The USA affirms its energy interests in the Persian Gulf – ex-Director, CIA

The United States of America is very interested in the energy reserves in the Persian Gulf, and is willing to fight for further freedom of movement in the region, stated the former Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (2011-2012), David Petraeus, at the 10th YES Annual Meeting “Changing Ukraine in a Changing World: Factors of Success”, at Crimea’s Livadia Palace on Friday.

Next century the global energy market could develop in one of two directions: either hydrocarbons (scenario “Mountain”) or solar energy (scenario “Oceans”) will become the major energy source, Graham Tiley, Country Chair, Shell Ukraine, stated on Friday at the 10th Annual Meeting of YES “Changing Ukraine in a Changing World: Factors of Success” held in the Crimean Livadia Palace.
