‘Jeff Koons. A Man of Trust' documentary is shown in the PinchukArtCentre

A documentary film ‘Jeff Koons. A Man of Trust' on the creation of Jeff Koons, the American artist whose works are exposed at PinchukArtCentre will be shown in the framework of the exhibition Reflection, on the 4th of November, 2007, at the video lounge on the 6th floor of the PinchukArtCentre.

This documentary by Judit Kele and Patrick Javault was created in 2002 with the support of Arte France, les Films d'Ici, L'INA and Jerome de Noirmont. The film presents different facets of life of one of the biggest artists of today who is referred to as the King of Neo-Pop.

The film duration is 57 minutes. It will be shown in the original (English) version every hour from 12.00 to 9.00 PM on Sunday the 4th of November. The admission is free.

Jeff Koons was born in 1955 in York, Pennsylvania (USA). In 80s, living in New York, he earned rather fast a reputation of one of the most flamboyant artists that epitomized the heady time in American art. According to the prestigious 2007 Power 100 of the British Art Review, Jeff Koons holds the 13th place (10th in 2006) among the most influential people in contemporary art. Two works by the artist are presented within Reflection: ‘Waterfall' and ‘Girl (dots)'.

The exhibition Reflection featuring works of the leading international and Ukrainian artists of the 21st century is open to visit until 30 December, 2007. A series of lectures, documentary shows and other events will be held in the framework of the exhibition.
