Ukraine Relief Fund
Ukraine Relief Fund
Ukraine Relief Fund is a collaborative philanthropic initiative, launched in light of the devastating attack on Ukraine in March 2022 by Victor and Olena Pinchuk and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, Eric and Wendy Schmidt and Schmidt Futures, Robert F. Smith and Vista Equity Partners, Minderoo Foundation (founded by Dr Andrew and Nicola Forrest), and Bill Ford and the General Atlantic Foundation.
This initiative was created to represent the donors’ collective goal to condemn the brutal Russian assault on Ukraine and support civilian Ukrainians most in need.
The Ukraine Relief Fund, housed at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, monitors how the humanitarian needs in Ukraine unfold and may also provide transitional, upfront support to refugees and other internally displaced persons (IDP).
The key areas of support are medical aid and supplies, food and hygiene, equipment for IDP shelters and transportation.
As of the end of 2023, the Ukraine Relief Fund has already provided over 1.7 million civilians in need with medical supplies, food and hygiene products, heating devices, and other necessary items. Ambulances, baby transport incubators, coagulators, anesthesia stations, and other tools that save lives every day have also been acquired as a part of this initiative.
