Marking its third anniversary with the “Night At The Museum – 3” project, on 16 September the PinchukArtCentre will stay open till 3 a.m.

On Wednesday, 16 September 2009, the PinchukArtCentre will celebrate its third anniversary. On this day, for the first time in history of Ukrainian modern art the PinchukArtCentre will host the “Night At The Museum” event. Especially for all admirers of contemporary art and also for those who didn’t have a chance to see the retrospective exhibition  “Requiem” by Damien Hirst, the PinchukArtCentre will stay open till 3 a.m.!

Dmytro Logvyn, Executive Director of the PinchukArtCentre: “Three years of intensive work have passed. It’s not a very long time for an art establishment, if measured in years. Though it’s quite a lot considering the number of projects we made happen within this period and the number of visitors we welcomed! So, the Night At The Museum – 3 is not only a special present for all contemporary art fans and friends of the PinchukArtCentre, but yet another display of how we strive to uncover the world of modern art for people, even if we have to work at night.”

During the celebration visitors of the art centre will be able to join the viewing tours of the exhibition escorted not only by the PinchukArtCentre’s tour guides and curators, but also by the Ukrainian artist, who will present their favourite works by Damien Hirst.

Also people will have an opportunity to get hold of 10 “Requiem” exhibition catalogues and 20 custom T-shirts with a skull imprint by the famous Briton. Damien Hirst admirers might want take part in a topical quest on the “Requiem” exhibition, while general public experts on the history of the PinchukArtCentre’s projects will be offered an opportunity to test their knowledge by solving crossword puzzles. And the first 250 art centre guests arriving past midnight will be presented with celebratory pins.

Additionally, the visitors will be able to experience a virtual journey through the brightest events in the history of the PinchukArtCentre by watching a photo-film screened at the Information Centre on the first floor.

Furthermore, during the last days of the Damien Hirst’s “Requiem” exhibition that will end on 20 September, the art centre visitors can purchase custom T-shirts with the “Floating Skull” imprint at 50% discount.
