The Victor Pinchuk Foundation purchased an anaesthetic machine for the Zaporizhzhya Regional Children's Hospital as part of the Ukraine Relief Fund charitable initiative

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation has purchased an anaesthetic machine worth UAH 1,680,000 for the Zaporizhzhya Regional Children's Hospital as part of the Ukraine Relief Fund, a joint charitable initiative established by Victor and Olena Pinchuk and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, Eric and Wendy Schmidt and Schmidt Futures, Robert F. Smith and Vista Equity Partners, Andrew and Nicola Forrest's Minderoo Foundation, Bill Ford and the General Atlantic Foundation.

This medical facility is located in close proximity to the front line. Over the last two months, the hospital has consistently provided highly qualified care to children in Zaporizhzhya and Donetsk regions who have been affected by the fighting in the temporarily occupied territories.

More than 30 children have received urgent care in recent months due to severe traumatic injuries and wounds. This required teamwork, specialists of all profiles and high-quality medical equipment. However, some of the equipment is obsolete and outdated, which makes it difficult to provide medical care on a modern level, using international protocols for diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries.

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation responded to the request of the hospital administration and purchased a modern anaesthetic machine, Caelus Lite, with a gas module (manufactured by Medec, Belgium) for elective and urgent surgeries. This equipment will broaden doctors' professional capabilities and enhance medical care for children, including those who suffered as a result of hostilities in the territory of our state.
