Victor Pinchuk Foundation to launch the exhibition and discussion program as a part of UKRAINE IS YOU project in Davos, on the occasion of WEF in 2023

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and the PinchukArtCentre, in cooperation with the Office of the President of Ukraine, will open UKRAINE IS YOU project on the occasion of the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 17th at 9:30 am (CET).

Among the speakers of the opening will be: Andrzej Duda, President of Poland; Pekka Haavisto, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Finland; Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine; Victor Pinchuk, founder of Victor Pinchuk Foundation; Ivan Fedorov, Mayor of Melitopol; Daria Gerasymchuk, Commissioner for Children’s Rights of Ukraine; Oleksandr Radchuk, teenager who was in Russian filtration camp, possibly N.N. from Kherson; Olga Tsilynko, volunteer from Kherson, and her son. Bjorn Geldhof, Artistic Director of PinchukArtCenter, will moderate the opening. 

UKRAINE IS YOU project will be held on 17-19 January 2023 and will take place at Promenade 59, Davos, in a space shared with Ukraine House Davos.

The guests of UKRAINE IS YOU project will allow guests to be and feel like Ukrainians for a moment. The project will  share moments of power experienced by Ukrainians defending freedom, in the face of the suffering that many Ukrainians were, and still are, subjected to, during the Russian aggression. An exhibition with impressive film work from recently liberated Kherson, showing its beauty, as well as the threats and suffering resulting from the Russian siege, emphasizes the warning that what is happening to Ukraine is equally a threat to others.

Another part of Ukraine Is You project is a 3-day discursive program (17-19 January) which brings together global thinkers, experts and people from the ground in Ukraine to discuss the assault on Ukraine, Russian war crimes and also the hope and empowerment of defending and reconquering life and freedom.

Besides the UKRAINE IS YOU project, this year Victor Pinchuk Foundation will also hold the Ukrainian Breakfast on 19th January, a traditional private event organized at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), and will again co-organize the Ukraine House Davos (17-19 January, at Promenade 59, Davos).
