Strobe Talbott and Javier Solana are to visit Ukraine аt the invitation of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation

Leading experts on foreign policy and security - former Deputy Secretary of State of the USA and President of the Brookings Institution Strobe Talbott and former High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union (1999-2009) and Secretary General of NATO (1995-1999) Javier Solana – are to visit Kyiv on 31 March 2010. These leading international policy makers will participate in public debates organized by the Yalta European Strategy (YES) and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

A public discussion with students and young scholars from top Ukrainian universities will be held in association with the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine in its conference hall located at 2, Velyka Zhytomyrska Street, 14.30-16.00.

During their visit, later that day, Strobe Talbott and Javier Solana will also take part in a meeting of the Diplomatic Club featuring influential Ukrainian politicians, experts and business leaders. The Diplomatic Club is a joint project by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s foundation Open Ukraine. The meeting is to take place on the 6th floor of the PinchukArtCentre at 17.00.

The topic of both discussions is “Global Challenges: How Europe and the US respond”.
