Jonas Ridderstrale, author of the bestseller Funky Business and professor of the Stockholm School of Economics, is to participate in the 4th Zavtra.UA Youth Forum

Jonas RidderstraleOn 23 May 2011 Jonas Ridderstrale, professor of the Stockholm School of Economics and author of the international bestseller Funky Business, will join the 4th Youth Forum of Zavtra.UA scholarship program of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

Jonas Ridderstrale will give a lecture to Zavtra.UA scholarship winners, sharing his knowledge and experience, followed by a Q&A session. Dr. Jonas Ridderstrale is an international business consultant, author of business management books and one of the world’s most influential and respected business thinkers of the century. The 2009 Thinkers 50, the biennial ranking of management thinkers, ranked him at number 23 globally and put him on the top-five list in Europe. The Business Week magazine has included him into top 5 of the International Guru League Table. His book Funky Business has been translated in 30 languages and is available for purchase in 50 countries.

Also, Zavtra.UA Forum will be joined by Saskia Bruysten with her lecture “Social business: the best career decision of the 21st century”. Saskia Bruysten, former management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, Munich and New York, is CEO and Strategic Director of the Grameen Creative Lab specializing in microcredit. The Lab was established by Muhammad Yunus, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize 2006.

Participants of the Forum are this year’s winners of the nationwide scholarship program by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation to support the most talented Ukrainian youth – 320 students from all over Ukraine chosen from 1 739 competition applicants by an expert commission.

This year’s topic of the Forum is “The World of Your Tomorrow: what to expect, what to be ready for, how to act”. Guests of the Forum will include well-known politicians: vice prime minister of Ukraine Serhiy Tigipko, president of Poland (1995 – 2005) Alexander Kwasniewski, leader of political party “Front Zmin” Arseniy Yatseniuk; business representatives: professor of the Stockholm School of Economics and author of the international bestseller Funky Business Jonas Ridderstrale, CEO and Strategic Director of the Grameen Creative Lab Saskia Bruysten, leading economist of the Russian Federation, TV and radio presenter Mikhail Khazin, other public figures. Scholarship winners and guests of the Forum will try to forecast the most important changes expected to take place in different areas of life within the next 30 years, identify main threats faced by the mankind, and develop an optimal action plan for a new generation.

The first two days of the Forum will be dedicated to team building and project training courses, as well as development of social projects covering such areas as culture, health, education and science, environment, human rights protection, etc.
