Leonid Kuchma’s son-in-law brings “Lencom” theatre to Kiev

- "Lencom" takes all of its stage settings with it only when the theatre leaves for a tour in St. Petersburg and Israel", the theatre's  artistic director Mark Zakharov told us at "Borispol" airport.

"That's very expensive. We brought all stage settings to Kiev, because our tour was sponsored by our friend Victor Pinchuk", he said about Leonid Kuchma's son-in-law.  - It takes great courage to pull over all of our equipment, which is not very suitable for the tours.  Several real carriages appear on stage during "Va-Bank" performance, and the room settings in the "City of Millionaires" are so cosy that you can live in there.

The tour of the Moscow theatre "Lencom" starts in Kiev on February 27. The "City of Millionaires" will be on stage of the Russian Drama Theatre till March, 1. Then "Lencom" will move to the International Centre for Culture and Arts (the former Oktyabrsky Palace).  From March 3 till March 5 "Va-Bank" will be on show. From March 8 till March 10 - "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest". The cost of tickets ranges from 20 to 950 UAH.

Mark Zakharov, as well as the actors Inna Churikova and Gennadiy Khazanov came to Kiev on Monday. Other actors will arrive later. The plane from Moscow was 40 minutes late.

Mr. Khazanov admits that he visit Kiev as an actor of "Lencom" for the first time.

"I always come to Ukraine as an entertainer, or an actor of Chekhov theatre. Now I keep running around Moscow theatres. So, Mark Anatolyevich has been taking care of me for a while".

The actors will stay at the five-star hotel "Premier Palace".

11.07.2023

On 10 July 2023, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and PinchukArtCentre in partnership with the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ukrainian embassy in Lithuania opened the Russian War Crimes exhibition during the NATO summit in Vilnius. The project shows photos taken from all over Ukraine since the start of Russia’s brutal and unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022. Even so, it only addresses a fraction of the committed crimes. It makes the participants of the summit witness the stories of torture, executions, and bombardments committed by Russians against Ukraine’s servicemen and civilians.
