Lencom starts its tour in Kiev

The leading director of "Lencom" theatre, a people's artist of the USSR, a laureate of the state prizes of the USSR and Russia Mark Zakharov said at the press conference that his theatre came for a tour in Ukraine, after a five-year pause.

The Moscow theatre has come to Kiev after the invitation of Victor Pinchuk Fund. The spectators will see the three key performances of its repertory, which have not been shown in Ukraine before: "The City of Millionaires" (a theatrical fantasy after the play by Eduardo de Filippo "Filumena Morturano"), "Va-Bank" and "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest".

According to Mr. Zakharov, the performances are well equipped with scenography, as well as all cutting-edge facilities for visual and stage effects. "We have brought everything with us - even the most complex, large-scale decorations, all equipment and costumes, so the performances will be completely identical to the ones shown in Moscow", Mark Zakharov answered.

The tour of "Lencom" in Kiev, which will be held at the National Academic Russian Drama Theatre named after Lesya Ukrainka and the International Centre for Culture and Arts (the Octyabrsky Palace) will last till March 10.
