Aleksandr Kwasniewski is a newly elected member of YES board

Ex-President of Poland Aleksandr Kwasniewski has been elected a member of the board of the international network for Ukraine in the European Union "Yalta European Union" (YES). It was announced by Victor Pinchuk, founder and board member of this international organization, at the closing of the YES Third Annual Conference in the Livadia Palace of Yalta.
"Poland plays a special, I would say, an exclusive role in Ukraine's Euro integration process, - he noted. Poland is a closest European neighbor of Ukraine, with whom we share much in the past and present. In Europe, perhaps, there is no any other country which shares and supports our eurointergration aspiration like Poland does. Moreover, President Kwasniewski is a person whose name ranks so high in the history of Ukraine, not only due to the break-through in our countries' relations, that was reached for the years of the presidential cadence, but specially due to the role played by this politician in the negotiation process during the Orange revolution. Therefore the selection of Aleksandr Kwasniewski a board member of the Yalta European Strategy means to us an event of such positive meaning that it could be hardly overestimated".
At present the YES board comprises Stephen Byers, Member of Parliament, UK; (Chairman of the Board of YES);   Mario David, Member of Parliament, Portugal; Victor Pinchuk, Founder of YES; Marek Siwiec, Member of the European Parliament, Poland; Alexander Rahr, Programm, German Council on Foreign Relations, Germany; Jean-Pierre Saltiel, President (1998-2004), Rothschild Conseil International, France; Stéphane Fouks, CEO France of Euro RSCG Worldwide.
