7th YES Annual Meeting opens today in Yalta
The 7th Yalta Annual Meeting entitled “Ukraine and the World: Re-Thinking and Moving On”, organized by the Yalta European Strategy (YES) in partnership with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, will take place in Livadia Palace from 30 September to 3rd October 2010.
The main topics of this year’s largest non government forum, taking place since 2004 and covering issues on Ukraine’s global integration, include: re-thinking the basic approaches to economics, politics and international relations; discussion of key global challenges and threats, such as climate change, as well as various models of modernizing countries in the context of today’s world.
Speeches delivered by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich and President of the Republic of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski will open the Annual Meeting.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov and Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Dominique Strauss-Kahn will engage in a dialogue on the global economy and Ukraine.
William Jefferson Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, will be a special guest at the Yalta Annual Meeting.

Yalta European Strategy (YES) – is an international non-partisan network established in 2004 by the Ukrainian businessman and public figure Victor Pinchuk.
